DIPLOMA IN TOURISM & EVENTS MANAGEMENT & OPERATION
(WSQ COURSE)

The WSQ Diploma in Tourism (Events Management & Operations) aims to provide customers with an educational and/or entertainment experience that meets or exceeds expectations. A courteous, knowledgeable, supported, well-trained and motivated workforce is a necessary part of customer experience. The Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) and Events sector in Singapore is flourishing due to rising business visitor arrivals. There were about 11.9 million arrivals in 2019. The MICE and Events sector is a dynamic one that is experiencing a boost from enhancement projects in Singapore Expo and Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. In addition, the convention venues within the two Integrated Resorts (IRs) and developments such as the Singapore Sports Hub further augments Singapore's reputation as a place with premier MICE and Events venues.

Durations

Prerequistes

Competency in Attractions Advanced Certificate level knowledge and skills. Two years work experience at the operations level in the tourism sector. ES WSQ WPLN Level 7.

Note:

 

Self-Sponsored

  1. Singaporean & PR aged 21 and above = 70% funding.

  2. Singaporeans only (not PR) aged 40 and above = 90% funding.

  3. Singaporeans aged 35-39 with WSS letter = 70% funding.

Company-Sponsored (till end of 2020)

  1. Singaporeans & PRs aged 21 years and above are allowed 90% funding.

  2. Absentee Payroll applies for company sponsored up to $10/training hour. Please use Absentee Payroll calculator provided by SSG to calculate the absentee payroll for your employee.

Notes to Application:

  2. Your application does not qualify for a seat for the course. You will receive a phone call from our friendly consultant who will assist you in the application.

  3. The Training Provider (ATO) reserves the rights to postpone or cancel the course if the course does not meet the minimum learners required.
